i've been looking and looking thru this forum site. i'm using convertxtodvd to make dvds of kamen rider kabuto(masked rider) which are avi files. it does a great job with the menu(could do more) and the converting and i'm having problems with the overscan because some of the subtitles are cut(the subs were done well put in place) . i pop the dvd into my computer and it all there but with a tv some of the top/bottom left/right is cut off. now i'm wondering is there a way for me to fix this with convertxtodvd or what program can i use to convert avi to dvd and keep the my picture and subs from being cut off?
Hi there, FYI the current version of ConvertXtoDVD is v2.1.4.162 (Oct 11th, 2006) There's nothing we can do about OverScan, it's in a lot of TV sets and we have to live with it One of the things you can try is this: Once you loaded your subtitle file, right click on it, and change the maximum number or chars aloud on a line. I think the default is "55" so reduce it to 50 or 45. It will/should force the subtitle to rap to a second line. This might help, as I am not a sub expert, I very rarely use them.
the subtitles are one there already i didnt have to load any subs. once i place the avi on my pc subs are already there. to mbe more clear um.....ok on my pc when i play the dvd i burned everything fits the screen. but when i use the tv to view the dvd i burned u can see the picture but about 5 percent is cut off so i'm missing stuff. um i'll try and take a pic and upload it
