Hi - My existing set-top box from UPC (in Ireland) has a Digital Video Recorder and I've also got myself a Starview 3. Does anyone know if I can still record programmes using my existing DVR box as well as using the Starview box?

    Cheers..

You need to clarify what yer trying to do, are you trying to record from the SV to the PVR? Or are you asking can you use both box's together at the same time? You can use both box's in conjuction with each other, split the pipe and a scart from each box to the TV, just use your AV1 and AV2 to decide which box to watch, but I dont think you can record whats on the SV on to the PVR, can stand corrected on this.......

Thanks for the reply - ideally I'd like to record from the Starview box to the DVR. I've been told on another forum that this isn't possible so I guess I'm out of luck...unless anyone out there has any other ideas..?

In the meantime it's good to know I can use both boxes at the same time - I'll get that hooked up.

yeah, had an idea alrite it wouldnt work, but split the pipe or depending where the TV is to the feed coming in, plug the spiltter directly into the feed on the wall and use two good sealed coax cables directly to the box's, using your AV channnels to flick between box's. enjoy
