I'm not sure what to do and don't know who to turn to so I thought I would try here. I have some new grandchildren and they have already ruined one of our favorite DVD's. I purchased this program so I could back up my DVD collection....well NOW I find out that the program won't copy - copy protected DVD's. I sure didn't see that on the box before I bought it...of course all these films are copy protected...but they are mine and I will be the only one using them. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS!

Please edit out your email addy, this is against forum rules. All you need is three free programs to make you backups. DVDFab Decrypter, DVDShrink and DVD Decrypter. Here are guides on how to use these programs, and a link to dl the software.

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with DVDFABDecrypter,Shrink,&Decrypter.pdf

    http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm

Rip the DVD to your HDD using DVDFab Decrypter then open Shrink and this will compress your file to fit on a single layer disk, then burn the file to the disk using DVD Decrypter. Use quality media such as Verbatim, Sony, Maxell or Fuji. Do not burn faster than 4x this will give you less chance of errors.
