I'm all JTAGged up and have the latest XBR on there. I've figured out NXE2GOD and that works fine. Still, all the stuff is ripping to the 20GB MS standard HDD, not to my USB HDD. I can browse, copy, etc. that fine from it under XEXMenu but it isn't recognized at all in the latest Xenon XBR. So. . .

    1. Is it SUPPOSED to show up there?

    2. Ripping games to the external HDD is possible, correct?

    3. Using ISO2GOD, it should be possible to modify the game ISOs from the usual places for use on the external USB HDD, correct?

In essense, what I'm wanting to do is use the External Seagate USB 2.0 HDD I have in place of the 20GB MS attached drive.

Surely, this is possible but I must just be missing something.

    Please advise.

    I dont belive so

Yes, just use the FTP client in XEXmenu & FTP to the attached USB drive

Yes, thats the whole point of ISO2GOD to modify the ISO to make it smaller.

Depends on how you format it. Off the top of my head, I believe the fat file system has a limit of 432 gigs. I'm not sure about hfs+.

I'm not sure about HFS+ either, but it is a much more modern filesystem than FAT; on par with NTFS. I imagine the limit on HFS hard drives is much higher.

Thank you for the replies and PMs. Think I've got it figured out now.

The USB HDD does NOT show up in XBR - JTAGged or not.

You CAN rip games from the 360 DVD drive to the USB HDD with XEXMENU using the COPY DVD option. It is tricky, but you have to insert the disc and wait until you hear it spin up, THEN hit A to copy. It doesn't seem to copy when the disc is spinning slowly or not at all to start off - it just drops back the the XEXMENU menu. Don't know if that's just my rig or not, but it works for me.

You DO need at least a memory card or 20GB HDD for game saves, profiles, etc. - those can't be saved to the USB HDD.

Still working on ISO2GOD stuff now. . .

    Thanx, all!
