I get to the GC sim screen on my GC and I click start to boot it 100FullDuplex, (my nic is set for it) I hear that clicky boot sound but the game i stuck there. ITs stuck at the screen and justs says please wait. What do you think is wrong? I mean if i got it to boot up to that screen why wont the game boot? GC: 192.168.1.32 PC: 192.168.1.100 Oh and Im using Cubesoft Phoenix v2.50 The DOS loader screen says "Working...........Error: recieve timeout" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I read around and changed some settings I have the max speed at 20 and I get no Xs at all. I can play it. However the game runs very laggy, like every few seconds I get lag, and the sound is all buggy and it sounds very bad. Might I just need new hardware? I was considering the netgear NIC. Or is there another way to get it without buying new hardware? Maybe Im still missing something or I have a setting wrong? I have it all on auto negotiate. I go through a router, I dont really know what other info to give, maybe someone could help. IT would be much appreciated
I had that same problem, exactly same, buzzing sounds, and lag, i tried everything, same result. And you have things what needed for streaming, so if you wanna play that without lag, burn it to DVD and stream game launcher to CG. Good program(that i made) for that is: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=6959 And that buzzing noise is because bad image, you gotta get other release.
oh, where do u get those mini dvds and are they expensive? Oh and I thought this loader was designed to work with Metroid Prime 2. I know people have gotten it to work w/o burning it. Do they use the netgear NIC perhaps?
Have gotten to work...without lag? And full-size DVDs work too, and are cheaper, you only need to remove GC case off when playing or get full size case.
Is it easy to mod your GC case? I modded my PS2. But that was so easy, I used swap magic and all I had to do was duct tape a switch down. And yea, I heard that people have got it to work without lag. Not completly w/o lag, but they said they had a little bit every few mins or so a lagspike now and then.
Yea, i got it too that way work u described, lag on heavy loading places, doors etc. But i dont know anything that might help to get it faster, except defragmenting partitions on computer and changing delay etc. on Phoenix... There is around many tutorials and modding ways, so you can see from then how easy/hard it is...
