ok, im buying the new iphone 3gs next week and im not a fan of itunes and how it organises music into artists etc.....especially when all my music on my pc is organised into folders...and doesnt have idtags. So im wanting to know if i can simply save folders to the iphone and play the music by selecting the particular folder...think its known as mass storage :p

you can use a software called FileAid to transfer the files to the iphone

But the music cannot be played with the stock ipod music player (because it wasnt transferred using itunes)

ur option there is the get an app called dtunes which is basically a vid/audio player for the iphone, it does require a jailbreak though

I think there is an option in itunes, to disable the organising of your music library

You can also try a free alternative to iTunes such as this one.
