i used to rip the dvds at 16x or could do it at 12, but now i dont even have those options. it only gives me 8x and 4x. it's ok, but takes a little longer.
Do you mean burning instead of ripping? If you do what's the make & model of the drive? What media are you using - like Sony +R 16x?
9HEMI, I think you are using dvd disk 8X only instead of 16X...that was why it only burn at 8X..I have this experience before... At the first place why do you use 16x speed? It is advisable to use 8X if your dvd speed is 16x.. the fastest it goes the more error you will have..
BINKIE, YOUR A GENIUS. YOU'VE HELPED ME SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE. IM USING OFFICE DEPOT DVD + R 16X 4.7GB DVD'S. IVE USED THESE FOR THE LENGTH OF MY BURNING (YES NOT RIPPING) AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BURNED AT 16X. BUT FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS NOW THEY ARE ONLY BURNING AT 8X AND I DONT HAVE THE OPTION OF GOING ANY HIGHER.
No genius here Watch the caps there 9HEMI - it's like you're shouting + against forum rules. Ok Office Depot uses different manufacturers so sounds like the firmware may not support the manufacturer of the ones you have now. Update the drive to the latest firmware if it's not up to date. Like henryting 8x would be better so it may be a good thing that these are only burning at 8x
wowa burning at 16x with no problems, booktyping to dvd-rom must be keeping it on track... nice. but i burn at 4x always...
