I use nero to back up dvd's on my laptop for about 5 months no problem.Now I back up my dvd's nero says burn complete.I try to watch dvd ,the disk is not reconized .I have tried muti different dvd's.Still same problem .I try to back up same dvds on my desktop with same software and dvds no problem. Any Ideas would help .I took laptop to bestbuy they were able to burn one dvd.They say it the software so I updated it same problem. ray3820 The best thing to do would be a post your last log form Nero. Remember to remove the serial # begins w/ 1a. The log can be found at crgram files>ahead>Nero>NeroHistory.log Do the DVD's not play in your laptop or a standalone? Was bestbuy able to play the DVD they burned? Did they use Nero?
not this drive again!, i've seen this drive come up i think twice lately and still i can't find whether the firmware is up to date or not - the only real clue i can see in that log is that you have Nero's InCD installed. it's Nero's 'packet writing' software and can get in the way so you should uninstall it, then uninstall Nero completely via Nero's Clean Tools then reinstall Nero WITHOUT InCD. pls post last section of burn logfile as per Binkie7.....
blinkie they did use nero and were able to play the dvd.I noticed it will burn the oringnal copy but not the copy to make a copy.
ray3820 When then that's leaning me towards a media issue. If using good media a copy to copy should be fine. But to sort it out just copy and paste the last log in nero. Also when you say playback - are your playing back on a standalone or your pc?
Prodisc has been iffy for my drives. Some good -some not. The best thing is still to post the Nero log. The problem can more easily be sorted out. Did you uninstall InCD?
