I have a digital camcorder that uses the mini DV's. I've down loaded the tape to Windows Movie Maker. When I try to burn it to DVD (using Nero) the message "no compatible file" comes up. I know how to burn DVD's made from ripped DVD's but I can't find anywhere in the instructions that came with my camera on how to do this. I have FireWire and the camera is a Canon ZR600. Do I need to convert what I down loaded? If so, to what? Thank you for any help anyone can give me on this matter.
If you have NeroVisionExpress this can be done. Open NVE, select capture Video and proceed from there.
Thank you, I don't have that option but surely I can down load the latest version of nero. I'll try that.
This is the version of Nero7 that I recommend you try 7.0.8.2 http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
ok, I took your advice, but when I downloaded a trial of the Nero you recommended, I ended up with a trial of Nero 4 (go figure). Anyway, it had similar options so I checked it out. I was able to download directly from my camera to a DVD using this program, but when I replayed the disc on my DVD player there was no sound! The video was fine, and when it was burning to the disc you could hear the audio coming from my camera just fine. What did I do wrong? Did I leave out a step? Thanks for your help
NeroVision 4 is one of the features that come with Nero7. When you got to my 2nd screen shot did you configure and select DVD Video and then make your choice. This is as far as I can assist, I cant give a reason for the lack of audio.
yes, I did that. I had to go to work after I burned it and while at work I thought maybe it was my DVD player having problems (all of my DVD players recognize burns) so when I had time I tried it on my little DVD player and had audio. So I guess it's only readable on certain DVD players. Thank you so much for your help. You're very kind to share your knowledge. Patty
