Where did you get you Nero from? I use Nero 7.2.7.0 all the time. I've got Media Center (never used it or for that matter know how).
Your version must be a few years old. My original OEM version gave the same message when I installed it on my XP MCE machine. It should still install and then you can update to the preferred 6.6.0.18 version from the following URLs(both packages).
