How do you use the Razr V3 as a modem for dial up? I currently have Cingular and a bellsouth dial-up backup account and would like to use it on a long road trip if possible. I set the phone up as a modem in win xp and when it tries to connect the phone dials and then disconnects after a few seconds. Windows is setup right but for some reason the phone just won't dial as a data modem. I also have a LG1400i if the razr won't work. I don't want to use the data plan that they have which is what all my google searches come up with. I want to dial just like as if it were a landline. Is this possible?

I tried this with a friends Razr and it actually worked. Just one more question though. Will cingular charge me for data transfer when I use my phone this way or will I just be charged for my minutes. I don't have a data plan through them and was trying to do this to get around getting a data plan. I noticed when the phone dialed up and connected to the bellsouth network the razr said data transfer. Is this just what the phone says or will I be charged for the data rate. I mean it should just see it as another phone call, right?? I don't want to call cingular because they are never any help, they never know what they are talking about and everyone tells you something different. Plus I figure they will try and sell me a data plan just for the hell of it. So I thougt you guys could help me out. Because you guys are always a ton of help.
