Here is my problem I am trying to use nero ultra to burn the same image with two dvd burners at the same time both capable of of 16x burn with DVD+R.

Are the images the same but in two different folders and have you opened Nero twice as two separate windows when doing this, one image is in folder x and one window open of Nero Recode2 is burning from that x folder?

Yes the images are the same. No they are not in different folders. I am only using one window of nero open. They way I am using the two burners is via the multiple burner option in nero, one image file but two images burned. Hope that cleared things up thank you for helping me

Then why not try it my way and see what happens? If you already have the image ready to burn, just make a duplicate of it and put it in another folder. Also start Nero up twice and run separate apps, one for each folder and burner. Just try it and see if you system can handle it.

ok tried that and here is what I saw. The device buffer at first stayed around 95% on both burners and then nero buffer moved around a little till it got to the middle of the burn then it fell apart again, both the device buffer and nero buffer were all over the place. The speed fell till what I can guess around 6x to 8x.
What I do not understand is that with a lesser system that I had with the same hhd setup was able to burn 2 disc at 8x. Open to any ideas you have.
(just a little side note when I used the multiple burner option, the nero buffer never moved but the device buffer was all over the place.)

Your system should handle it better then what it does. Burning doesn't take that many resources. One last thing, are your burners on different cables, Primary and Secondary?

The Burners are both on different ide channels and one is a primary and the other is a slave also the hhd that I am buring the image from is sata I. I know it does not make any sense. The computer is a new build and I built it with this in mind but I have no idea where I went worng. please if you have any other ideas no matter how crazy let me know. Thanks
