It should work if your PC screen has an input that the XBox 360 supports. Then just stick it in. Should be better than regular TV but not as good as HDTV as it doesn't have as many pixels unless you get a HD PC screen.

Most PC monitors are already capable of running at HD resolutions or better. All you need is a VGA cable for the xbox360.
Here's a review of the MS VGA cable http://hardware.teamxbox.com/reviews/xbox-360/40/Xbox-360-VGA-HD-AV-Cable/p1/
The picture may be better on a pc monitor

Out of curiosity, since VGA monitors are not very expensive (compared to plasma and LCD), and since everyone says computer monitors are capable of high definition (which I believe; they are super clear) why are more VGA's not used as makeshift high def TV's?

You would still need some sort of HD reciever and TV tuner.

So in order for me to play my Xobx 360 on my OC monitor I would need to buy a HD Reveiver or TV Tune first?

But does the quality match up. Comparing it to a HDTV of the same size running the same resolution, does the HDTV look better or worse than the PC screen???

Ok....I talked to someone at gamestop and asked them if the xbox 360 would have HD quality on a HD-ready Tv... He said that it would have HD quality...He said that the Xbox 360 works as a Tv Tuner or HD reciever.....So, according to this persons response, I believe that you would NOT need a TV Tuner or HD reciever to plug you 360 into your PC monitor and to get HD quality picture.......But that is my opinion based on the info he told me. If the info this guy told me is not true tell me...

i believe all you need is HD ready, or something that has the compatable inputs. the 360 runs as a HD unit, not as a TV tuner or HD Reciver. but you do need the cables.....that's all it comes down to, having the right inputs and the right cables.

So all I need is to go to my local EBgames store and buy the hookup for the Xbox360 that connects it to my monitor and it will show up in HDTV on my computer screen?

you need the cables w/ HD/TV selector (like comes w/ premium) or just take your monitor and 360 cables to EBgames or some computer store and ask them what you need to do.
