    Help.

I have Mainconcept's MPEG Encoder and I have all of TmpGenc's KVCD templates.

Is there any way to use these in Mainconcept's MPEG Encoder such that I can produce MPG's to burn to CDs??

If I cannot use the actual templates, is there a way to set the program to use the data in those templates??

    Any help is appreciate, thanks

It could be possible. I think the main thing about the kvcd
templates was that it used CQ (constant quality) and a customized
    quantize matrix.
If you have access to these items in MC, plug in the values and give it
    a try.
Let us know how it comes out.

Don't know about TMPGEnc template's but you can make your own to use in MC quite easily. Just input your setting's and save it at options>save profile and it will appear as a choice in the MPEG type dropdown box.

The problem I have is that I am a dumb novice (not with computers) with implementing these kinds of values in Mainconcept.

I can look in each of the TMPGenc's templates using notepad, but I am not sure which ones would go in which place in the "Details" options in Mainconcept MPEG Encoder, etc.

If I knew what values I would use to make a 120 minute PAL KVCD encoded by Mainconcept, I would surely do it.

Any help here is appreciated. Thanks

Not a clue, maybe google kvcd or even use VCD in MainConcept, I think a KVCD is just a compressed VCD?

Why don't you download the free version of Tmpgenc 2.5 and use
    that? Problem solved.

The problem with Tempgenc 2.5 is that on my system it will not load any movie with a corresponding SRT file, I've tried everything I have read on the internet, ffdshow priorty etc and nothing works, TMPGenc crashes on opening itself if there is an srt file there

    So I went to Mainconcept.

You're trying to hard sub the movie?
Use Virtualdub to open the avi file. Use one of the virtualdub
filters to open the SRT (I believe vobsub includes such a filter)
and frameserve the avi to Tmpgenc.
