who else saw it? Was it not the best movie of the year so far or what! Talk about a nice middle finger to the Bush administration...
My copy was not so good....er, havn't seen it yet, but it's on my to do list. Heard great things about this movie.
Actually going to see this in theaters, as i think it might be worth my $11, LOL. Ill comment back tonight when i get back
Well I don't want to give anything away, but basically the movie takes place in the future in England, and the country is controlled by a very strick totalitarian government that controls all aspects of life. Although the movie was based on a book from the 70s, you can make many similarities to the government in the movie, and the Bush Administration's way of running government.
djscoop, If you want to watch another movie like this, but a little more wierd and not as good special effects, watch Brazil (imdb it). Interesting stuff.
thanks DVDBack, my brother actually told me the same thing just the other day! He said that George Orwell's "1984" is another good one as well...
V for Vendatta was a very intersting movie. Having not read the book, I was quite confused during some parts, however when it comes out on DVD Ill watch it again to see the parts which befuddled me.
Sounds good, it got good reviews from ppl at G4, but imo, i dont beleive in critics, everyone interprets a movie differently to there liking.
That's true. Usually the way I've lately seen it, if critics say a movie is bad, it's usually good...and vise versa.
Nitefire, hopefully you will get busted and not be able to pay for anything for a long time, you slug.
I agree...don't bitch about something that you got for free. Besides, watching a crappy "screener" version of the movie severely degrades the appearance and quality of any movie you watch. Any screener movie watched looks like crap. V is a great movie...
Well ill take your advice and go see it wednesday night scoop. When I saw the preview during Final Destination I was sold, but I forgot about it. Its kinda hard to have a life working two jobs lol. Definitly will see it tho. thx for the heads up scoop
I don't want to 100% guarantee that everyone will love the movie, as everyone has different tastes and all, but I will say that it is a very well made movie, that most people should enjoy. Honestly when I just saw the trailer on TV I wasn't that interested, but after seeing a 30 minute special on MTV about it, I was really interested in seeing it. Its well worth the $12 or whatever to go see....just sneak in some candy so you don't get gouged at the concession stand!! LOL
I always do that! im a bit extreme tho, as I just don't bring candy, I've snuck whole fastfood meals in my bookbag(yes drinks too) into the movies. Biggie size fries and some cheese burgers is the way to go!
Your a two face, probably a retired cop...lol..broke more laws than the people you arrested, your not worth my time you jerk, I'm off this forum...bye bye
