    hey guys

gentle now, first post and all.......

mgiht be a silly Q, but here goes: do you actually need the v***** tv package in order to receive these 'channels'. i mean, can you plug the starview (or whatever) box into the phone socket box somehow (afaik the tv signal comes down this too?). ive searched the forums, but cant find an answer. i presume you do, but thought i'd check. if it is possible, are there any drawbacks to doing it this way?

    cheers

Wont work on a phone socket though you need coax.

    Ah, right. Ta, lads.

Yeah, ive currently got the phone + bb package, just wondering if i needed the tv package added on befroe i get a starview2 box basically. So, there are no 'talkback' (or whatever you call it) problems with not having the v***** box connected to the system at the same time?

    Ta

Nope, but as said you need a coaxial line not ADSL.

Yeah, sorry. Didn't make it clear in the last post - ive got the DSL broadband through coax, not ADSL through the bt line. Ta for the help mate.
