V12 PS2 (slim) Modchip & Laser diode

    Hi,

    I've just bought a V12 PS2 and I'm looking for the best solution. I stumbled upon DMS 4 E.Z.I. modchip wich is brandnew and needs NO soldering. But in the DMS forums I read that V12 laser burns out when you install ANY modchip...

    Has anyone got suggestions for me concerning the Laser diode problem and recommendations for modchips with the V12?

    hey i just got the swap magic 3.3 for my v12 whats the chance's of the laser burning out if i dont buy the laser mod
