I've been messing with this all day trying to figure out how to connect my phone to my PC. I know this is an old phone and everything, so all the info I'm finding about how to do this is outdated. I seriously don't want to have to pay some ridiculous amount of money for the software to do this.

I followed steps in the Motorola Hacker's Bible, downloaded P2KMan, P2KCommander, P2KTools and some other software from the MotoModders site. The Hacker's Bible went ok, but I got seriously confused along the way. Do I have to have MPT in order to make the other programs work? I'm missing two of the drivers the Bible says i'm supposed to have (usbccgp.sys and usbaudio.sys). They didn't come with any of the software. No devices were installed according to my device manager. I tried to clear my registry following the instructions in the Bible to start over, and can't delete some of the entries. I just get an error with no explanation. Besides that, almost all of the entries that are supposed to be there aren't even listed.

At one point P2KTools was showing my phone connected, but only in one of the modes. As soon as I switched to the other, I got all sorts of errors and it no longer showed my phone as connected.

All I want to do is retrieve the photos and stuff off this stupid phone.

Please can somebody help me with this?

I've downloaded a couple different supposed copies of MPT, but the ISOs or RARs were corrupted.

Why does this have to be so hard? I'm so frustrated!

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

By the way, I know I can just email the photos to myself from my phone, but that's a no-go. My cell provider charges exorbitant data transfer fees, and the whole point of this exercise is to not have to cough up a lot of money to just get the photos off my phone! :(

Well, now I managed to get a version of MPT, but it can't detect my phone either. Some things are now appearing in the device manager, like the Motorola modem or whatever, but MPT just can't detect my phone. I'm about to scream. This drives me crazy.

Ok, so I got MPT to work finally (I have no idea how, it just started working after many, many tries). But I still can't get P2KTools etc to work. Any thoughts?
