I was wondering if anyone has done a few hacks to the v3. If so what did you do and what side effects, if any did you have. I know on my v551 I tried to make the ringer longer, but when i did I lost all of my voice mail, It reset my voice mail to off. Just wondering if anyone has first hand dealing with this.

I know there are a few of them out there but im not sure what they all are. The one that i did read about gives you more memory. I just want to know what im up against before i do any. Since my v3 doesnt have a warranty. (they said that there isnt one with this phone yet. grr.)

A few hacks? More like a few I havn't done to it! lol

No side affects if you do your research and read everything you can find. Go to www.howardforums.com and www.motomodders.net and read the stickies and the noob guides. Same places where mossy stole the stickies here.

you tried to make your ringer longer? You mean to ring longer before going to voicemail? Whos your carrier?

The razr has a year warranty from moto, you must be thinking of insurance from your carrier? Most will now cover it since the price drop, but mostly insurance from a carrier is a waste. Unless you don't mind the deductible and getting a refurbished phone as a replacement. Any questions let me know.

TroyBoy30, how did you manage to get over 10 megs of memory on your motorola v3? Also, do you know how to fix the address book on the v3 to get multiple phone numbers and e-mails on a single entry? And, to search through it by name, not by number?

    Thanks !!!!!!!!
