I just bought a new RAZR from T-Mobile and am having problems getting my copies of both MOBILedit! and Motorola mobile Phone Tools v3.40 to recognize my phone.

Is there a lock on this phone or is this a software issue? Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

I had the same problem as you guys and went through many forums much like this and finally gave up on the whole integrated USB driver crap.

The V3 RAZR has bluetooth, so I spent $40 on a bluetooth adapter that plugs directly into my USB drive. I got a 2.0+EDR /class I adapter which means nothing more than it transfers very quickly and will connect to a bluetooth device at 330 feet range which is the best one you can buy. So obviously you can get a lower class one for cheaper instead of the $40 I paid. I suggest going to Newegg.com since they had the best prices on all the models. All you have to do is install the software that comes with the adapter, then install Mobile Phone Tools. After that, everything works exactly like it supposed to and doesn't require any modifications to Windows XP SP2 or the P2K drivers.
