vcd burnt but wont run on stand alone dvd system 'Help!'

    I have used nero to burn mpeg to vcd, i have limited it to write at 4 x speed, when i check in the MPEGAV folder the file AVESQO1.DAT has been created, i finalise the disc and burn it. guess what happens nothing when i try it out in my sony dvd system it can't read the disc. please help if you can many thanks in advance.

    Are you sure that it can play vcd or even read cd-r's???

    If so for both are you sure it can play vcd2.0 because thats what nero makes. There is also a vcd1.1

    Thanks for the reply m8, It does conform to both versions, You may however have a point with the cdr's while i was waiting for a reply i checked out some of the other forums on this site and found that lot of people are having the same problem with sony dav system it will only accept certain cdr's. So i am of to try some alternative media thanks again dela.

    No Problem ye. The media is always a big issue no matter what it is you are using!
