VCD Don't Work, But DivX, DVD, SVCD work

    Hi, I was wondering, how come i can't play my VCD movie? I can play my DVD,DivX,SVCD. Could you please tell me step by step? I'm a newbie. Thanks in advance.

    Well actually thats good news m8! DivX (MPEG4) is the best followed by SVCD (MPEG2) and the lame VCD (MPEG1). What media player are you using to try and play? I don't mess with VCD, video sucks.

    Hi,
    I used window media player. After I inserted a VCD disc, It pop up a lot of folders such as CD1,EXT,MPE GAV,SEGMENT,VCD. I doubled clicked on VCD,or CD1, it didn't work. I couldn't see the movie. What Do I need to do so I can watch VCD,SVCD,DIVX,DVD? Thanks.

    I recommend WinDVD to play the VCD my friend. Also just for the record the movie is located as AVSEQ01.dat in the mpegav folder (usually anyway!)
