What Format is the Movie on the CD-R??? You will have to convert the Video file to Mpeg1/VCD format...If you want the Quality to be OK then you should use a Mpeg encoder Like "Tmpgenc" but if you don"t mind Bad Quality you can simply use Nero to encode the File but I recomend going with Tmpgenc... After encodeing to the Correct VCD/Mpeg1 format you simply burn the file to CD-R(S) useing Nero in VCD Mode.....
Ok I now got the video I want onto my computer, I converted it to an MPEG file, I can't use Nero because my trail ran out, what other programs can I use?
Well I do not know of anything free that you can use to Burn VCD"s....You can use VCDEasy but it is also Not free and isn"t that easy to use either..So I guess you are Going to have to bite the Bullet and Buy something...
OK, there are trail versions of Nero and VCDEasy and all, but my trail version of Nero wore out, can't I just use another trail version?
I suppose you can download a Trial version of "Ulead DVD Movie Factory" and it will let you burn VCD"s with Menu"s and Chapters and it works for 30 days... You can download it at the Ulead web site... If you look on ebay you can find old versions of Nero 5.5 for $5 or less, You can"t live on Trial versions for ever...
I could probably live on Demos if I really tried, but I am thinking, do they sell Nero is stores, like BestBuy or CircuitCity. I'll check online.
Ulead Makes OK VCD/SVCD/DVD"s as long as you do not use it to Encode your Files to Mpeg.... It is allways better to use a Good Quality Standalone encoder to encode the Files to Mpeg and then use something like Ulead DVD Movie Factory to add any menu"s and Chapters and to burn the VCD/DVD Disk...
