None of the vcds I have made work on my computer, but they do play on my standalone dvd player (Panasonic dvd rp-62). I have tried using every free / trial version of a vcd player/dvd player I could find. Depending on the player, I either get an error or the program crashes and the closest I got was with WinDVD 5 where it would cycle through the chapters without playing.

I'm using a Sony CD-RW 48x-12x-48x (internal) and Nero to burn (@ 16x) the vcds. I can play the original mpegs on my comp so I don't think its a codec problem, but I'm not sure. Anyone know whats wrong?

I dunno if this matters but a vcd I bought works fine on both my comp using WinDVD5 and the stand-alone.

Can you tell me what that error is?? Also have you tried playing the avseq01.dat file in the mpegav folder?
