Is there an easy way to convert VCDs or SVCDs to DVD? I managed it once but it took several programs and a LOT of time

There is no quick way to convert files from vcd to svcd or DVD. I was using Canopus procoder, but i sold that off to a buddie of mine. That software is not for the cheap at all. I bought it for $300, then found this site and shortly there after a dvd burner for christmas. Therefore no need to encode. But when i did, they are a couple hours project on high end machines.

Thanks........ I have saved the guide and will read and try it out, I have the progs required.
I have a few old vcd/svcd films and want to get them onto DVDs for convenience. Some are on two discs, will this be a problem?

This should not be a problem as the size of a dvd should fit 2 cd's. The way you can combine the split up movie will vary with the DVD authoring software that you will use. It should be very simple though. Let us know if you need any help along the way. Good Luck!
