Hi Can someone let me in on the secrets to editing a current vcd. I have some music videos on several vcds and I would like to take some out and burn my favs onto one cd. Unfortunatly I got them on there but can't seem to get them off let alone pic thru them and decide which I wanna keep and toss. Any help appreciated. Oh I am not exactly the brightest in computer lingo so be easy on me. Thanks

    1. put back onto the computer.
    2. Edit thru them (ie only use certain tracks)
    3. burn back to a vcd.

    Again thanks

You cannot edit the VCD itself, but you will have to copy the tracks back to your PC and author a new VCD. But that is not difficult.

In tis article you will see an explanation of the VCD structure:
    http://www.digitalvideoclub.com/techinfo/vcd.php

The AVSEQxx.DAT files are the actual MPEG's. Copy them back to your hard drive and rename the extension to .mpg
Now you can open them in a video editing program that is able to handle MPEG-1 and do all the cutting and pasting you want. Next you can export it to new MPEG's and use them to author a new VCD.
