Currently i'm using nero to trnascode avi divx to dvd and works fine but when i try to burn a vcd it goes through the transcoding process and says burning is complete but will not play on a stand alone dvd player

well if it is an avi why don't you just use vso dvixtodvd and have a dvd insted of a vcd? unless the quailty is no good, that program is really good, also the time it takes to encode will be about the same, but if it is cost i understand that to
