It was suggested that I try VLC..Not working.Tried POWER-DVD..Not working.I've loaded as many codec packs and codecs as I can find..No help.VCD's and SVCD's (in mediaplayer) get a scrambled top and a green bottom.Same in Power-DVD and ATI-Media player.In VLC,I get nothing.In VLC,a little drop-down bar shows and disappears. These are the avseq01.dat files in the VCD structure. These are downloaded from torrents, My system is XPpro,ati 9800 pro video card,pentium pentium4 - 3.20, 1gig of ram.......
Try using Media Player Classic to play the VCD http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/guliverkli/mpc2kxp6482.zip?download If that doesnt work then try changing the .dat files into .mpg files with VCDGear http://www.vcdgear.com/files/vcdgear355.zip and just watch them on your comp
Tried REALPLAYER Classic.....it doesnt work geet the same garbled screen. Maybe I don't know how to use VCDgear,but I can't get it to work with these avseq.dat files.
