hi i have been given a v1.6 xbox to try and fix, it is installed with an xecuter 3ce chip and front panel the chip appears to be working as you can switch through the modes by pressing the on/off button and eject button but i'm getting no sound or video on the tv i have tried using a different lead to the tv from a working xbox but i still got no audio/video, i'm open to suggestions on how to solve this problem, any advice greatly recieved
slayer.xbox-scene.com and www.teamxecuter.com can help you most. you didnt state the status of the xbox, if the chip was installed and nothing else and this happend, you may have an xbox verion 1.6b. you will need to put flashbios 3.03 on it, or if its a freshly installed chip flash bios 3.03 should be on bank 5-8, try each 256k bank first then try the 1meg bank of 5-8 once you ahve that up flash a current 3.03 to anyone of those 256k banks... but remember 3.03 is ONLY for 1.6b xbox, you can identify 1.6b by the ramchips on the mobo, hynix ram = 1.6b
