Verbatim dics

    Verbatim discs work have so far worked everytime for me. So I was going to buy more.

    I'm not sure if theres different varients of verbatim discs because when i look them up in stores. Theres the Verbatim 8.5GB DVD+R Double Layer, 2.4x(which are the ones i bought first time); but also theres Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8x.

    I've heard people say only the ones made in singapore are good. but is there any difference between the 8x and the 2.4x ? and will they both work?

    None other then burn speeds, I think what your asking is durability, as in which is BETTER to last longer and such, no theres no major difference, I always burn all disc regardless of 8x or 2.4 disc and just keep my settings at 4x, have never had an issue for the last 2 years and only costered cause I had too many apps runnign while burning which decreases buffer speed.

    alright cool. thanks, has anybody else had any experience with the 8x as opposed to 2.4x?

    Yeah I've used the 8x ones and they work great too even burned them at 8x :D

    I've always used the 2.4x ones. Have burnt over 85 games with them no problems. My buddy came over and he brought over some of the 8x ones. We ended up having 2 games fail burning with them. Maybe was just a bad batch he got.

    Ya they worked for me. I havn't tried them at 8x though, just 2x but i might try that. it would save a lot of time.

    yea, like every single xbox 360 game out there.....and add to the fact that if you arent using the old extreme 5.3 then you cant use single layer discs anyways.
