    i hit a best buy in ft wirth and grabbed two verbatim dvd +r. at checkout, it came to over $60, one of the dvd +r was the 4x, which was $40, so i just got one of the 8x for $19.99.
    i stopped by the southlake best buy after work and got about 3 more at $19.99. with those 200, and the 100 that just came in from amazon last week, i should be set for at leat a month or two.
    i was out of cash and will have to keep an eye out for another sale.
    dvd decrypter is still going strong!

    I did not buy the 50 pack at Best Buy, but I found a 5 pack in jewel cases of Verbatim 8x + and - for 2.69USD each. They have white tops and they code to MCC02RG20 and MCC003. I just was interested because I never have seen White top Verbatims.

    @Aland

    They are the same Verbs as the silver topped. From time to time I pick up Verbs in jewel cases and have found them to be the same code as the spindle Verbs only the top is a little fancier. I have white tops, and some older ones that are shiny with fancy writing in green on them. It is just like the Verbs with the movie reel on them, they will code out exactly the same as silver top Verbs, you just pay more for the jazzier look.

    @arniebear Thanks for the feedback. These were on sale at Circuit City for 2.69 in a five pack. They were single discs individually packaged in a box of 5. Really wierd. I never saw them like that.

    Image ??

    The last time I checked, DataLife PLUS were a fine disc. When looking at disc not currently manufactured, you may well be mis-led. Many discs were made by a decent company only to change manufacturers and become untrustworthy.

    Pete

    Edited because, I re-read my post and the way pple are, they would read something that isn't there.

    When I say "currently made", I mean something made in the last 6 months. Something made in 2003 (HP's) might have been poor discs back then BUT today, since they've changed manufacturers they are now considered quite good indeed. (Go ahead, mis-read that one (Lol)

You taught me something again! I feel more comfortable now that my Memorex disks ARE NOT CMCs! that's all .......I thought they were always like what's written here:

    Actually 10% of Memorex are not CMC's. As I remember, the one piece of assistance I can offer is that those made by Ritek are sold in the 25-pack. Be forewarned, there are also 25-pack Memorex made by CMC also So your chances of buying Memorex that are fairly good are only 1 chance out of 10.

    Far to poor odds for me to play :)

    Cheers,

    Pete

    i got 4 50 packs of the verbs +r from best buy last week, all were silver tops, mcc003 i believe.

    you can find some memorex made in japan at walmart for a decent price, but make sure you check, most are made in taiwan, you have to find the one or two types of memorex that say made in japan
