version 7 or 8?

    What version is my ps2? It is I think aither 7 or 8 but i cant figure it out, because it has 8 screws and dats all I really know. I'm going to order a v4-7 flip-top today, and I have to know if I can order it.

    if it has scph-39xxx nubmer its v7-v8

    it does, but I need to know whoch or those it is. 7 or 8? well, does it even matter when ordering a v4-7 flip-top?

    dont really matter... i didnt notice any diffrnce in v8 box and the v7 box..... all you replace is the top and and he dvdrom cover and all the ps2 is the same apart for v9-10 they got diffrent box....

    you can ask around or visit sites... try google..


    ok i just checked.... 8 hole top is for 4-8 not 4-7 lol.... so if you got 4-8 then it fits... you if you got the 50xxx it will NOT fit...

    what do you mean? versions 4-7 have 8 holes, and i think 8 has 8-holes, but the only thing I THINK is different about version 8, is the motherboard or something like that.

    8 holes... 8 screws... it should fit your ps2...

    I have a v8 and had a v7 and modded them both. All parts are completely interchangable between the two. The only difference is the BIOS version. Physically, they are the same machine.

    From what I have read, Version 8 was only available in Japan.
