    hi all

i wa wondering if you can take a hd from a version 1.2 and put it in a version 1.4. i am runnin an xenium ice chip and m xbox is pushing up daisies. i got a new one and i was hoping that it would be as simple as reinstalling the chip and changing the hd. hopin to save all my games saves etc.

    thanks

    Yeah, you can do that.

However there are a few things you have to consider about that hard drive. Is it unlocked, and if it isn't, do you have the EEPROM available to unlock it? It'll only be a straight swap if your hard drive is unlocked, as you'll have to do a bit of extra work if it isn't.

What's wrong with the old Xbox anyway? Depending on the problem, you may not be able to use the old hard drive at all.
