    Hi,

I have this problem when playing some normal avi xvid video. It does not play right. There are some vertical lines just like on the picture below.

I have 2 PCs. One is really old. Both of them have only newest Combined Community Codac Packv installed. On the older PC I can play this movies without no problem but on this newer PC with Samsung 20 inch widescreen monitor the picture is like on the pic.

Does anyone have any idea about this?

    Thanks

It could be a video card problem. Update the drivers for your card.

What is the make an model of your video card?

The card is nVIDIA 8600 GT. I am not sure if the latest drivers are installed but the ones that came with the graphics card CD are.

This really annoys me because I can't watch a lot of files. I tried with different codecs and players but always same result.

Thanks for your help. I just installed the latest drivers from March, 2009 and this works now. No more green lines.

    Thanks again.
