Ok I need real help please: I just got the PCI card and installed in (usb 2.0) and hooked up my dvd burner and used nero 6 to burn onto a dvd + r and when i played it on my dvd player the video went way too slow not frame by frame but still slow. and when i try to seek forward it gets stuck. i dont know whats the problem. is it nero? dvd burner? or is the USB 2.0 not working. I am really new to this digital stuff. also is it the video because i got the video from a website so maybe it can't be coded correctly. thanks a lot. my dvd burner is a NEC external enclosure dvd rw at 2.4 times dvd + r at 4 times and that's it. NEC 1300A lots of love please help i'm wasting dvd's left and right here (they're way too expensive) I used Fujifilm DVD+R
Hi mindgod, It could be the download was bad. Try backing up a regular dvd. If it works ok, then it was the download. you need to start somewhere to try and isolate the problem. make sure the computer installed the driver properly for the pci card. Jerry
thanks jerry, so downloads could be bad huh? never knew that. how do i know if my driver is installed right? i have a belkin pci card so it says under driver-"microsoft drver 5.1) under device manager it doesnt say usb 2.0 it just says enchanced? i will try backing up a dvd. is it possible that Nero is bad?
Hi mindgod, If Windows saw your pci card in pnp auto install, its probably installed right. As to Nero, there was some problems in the first versions of Ultra 6. I think most problems are now corrected. I think the new version is 6303. If you are using a slightly older version, download again and update. Also, to keep from making coasters, use a RW disc for testing to keep cost down until you get the problem licked. Jerry
