VGA Cable or VGA to TV S-Video/RCA AV OUT

    Instead of picking up a 15' vga cable, for connecting my pc to my Lcd tv. I was thinking of using a VGA to TV S-Video/RCA AV converter adapter, since i have many rca cables of that length anyway. I have two questions:

    #1. Would i see a quality loss if i used the vga to rca adapter as opposed to the just using straite vga cable?

    #2. About the adapter itself. Would using s-video rather than the rca make much of a difference in quality?
