VGA HD AV Cable

i got a 19" pc screen and i wanna buy a 360. would u need a good computer or u dont need to put the computer on while playing 360 on pc screen

So are you saying if you Tv has a VGA port the picture is better than useing component?

 

sure am, a buddy of mine uses it on his tv and i have mine on my 19in lcd, HEAVEN, wouldnt trade it for anything especially running at 1280X1024

 

rely, so it is that much better? If I was to get a VGA-DVI adapter so it would work on my projector do you think I would get the same result?

I am planning to buy a 19"WS Samsumg monitor. It has separate VGA and DVI connections. Now the problem is, if i get myself the VGA cable, where shld i put the audio wires? I dont have a sound system for my PC. I just use my Zalman 5.1 headphones which is connected to the sound card directly. And i am pretty sure the monitor doesnt have built in speakers. I would love to play my Xbox 360 on my monitor only if the sound problem is solved!

 

@ mufaa - Buy a cheap set of pc speakers. Can find some for $10.

@ Domreis - The 360 connected to my 19" widescreen LCD does look amazing but im not sure that it would have the same effect with a projector. Would be nice if it did but I wouldn't count on it.

 

Infact i have a cheap set of speakers....but they are USB. Isnt there a headphone jack on Xbox 360?? There shld be one for gods sake!

I just want a reason to bring my Xbox 360 to my monitor. I have currently hooked it up with a 32inch Bravia LCDTV with 5.1 surround setup. But i get very few hours of play time because the TV is shared in the main hall.

 

Dont know what i'd do without it.

 

@ mufaa - You can get a splitter to work with your headphones. I can't fine a picture but I have one and use it.

It has two female RCA audio components that combine into one female line out for you to connect speakers or in your case headphones. Cheap little piece at radioshack.

 

Do you have a picture of the convertor? So i can go looking for it?

Ok I couldn't fine the exact cord... But instead of this cord having a stereo audio piece that is male picture it having a piece that is female (that your headphones would go in) and that is the cord you need.

Hmm..so how can i connect my Xbox 360 and headphones with this??
In the two RCA jacks i plug in my headphones right? Then where shld i plugin the female output?

Or is it like i have to connect one Xbox 360 audio wire and one headphone wire to the RCA jacks and then connect the female....where? Lol....sry i do not knw much of this...just the basics...please help me!

Here is what the vga cable looks like. So the 2 RCA female go to the 2 RCA male on the VGA cable. The single female stereo is what you plug your headphones into. Remember the stereo isn't male like the picture in the previous post shows.

I didn't get the VGA cable that is made by microsoft because i found cheaper ones on ebay. So mine didnt come with the cable. Cant say if the other ones do or not.
