VHS/DVD bruner (VHS to DVD)

    My uncle wants to put his tape collection onto DVD are there any stand alone "decks" that ignore the macrovision flags and other anti tape copy mechanisms?

    Nope, sorry. You need a VCR, a Time-Base Corrector, and a DVD Recorder or PC with Capture. All-in-one units usually do not work even with a TBC.
