vhs onto pc

    Hey, I understand that to get vhs onto your computer you require a video capture card, however is it in anyways possible to use an ATI tv tuner to transfer the video?

    Yes. Your tuner card should have come with some sort of capture software. Hopefully, your card supports composite-in. If it does connect the composite-out of your VCR to the tuner card and the audio out either to your tuner card or your sound card (an adapter may be required. If your tuner card does not support composite-in then use the standard "F-connector" TV cable from your VCR to the tuner card. Then follow the directions with your TV tuner card's capture software.

    Thanks so much, I was sure it would work, just needed to know for sure, however my computer is a known junk pile and the software has since then been scraped, can anyone recommend some for me that I coudl download?

    you should be able to get updates from ATI they keep all the software on there site to download
