OK. I'm new to this forum, but it looks like you guys really know what your doing here. I've got program i've been working with that has suited all my needs as far as editing video. It's Nova's Video Explosion Deluxe. I have firewire and thats how I upload all my digital video. No problem, everything works fine. Well, now i'm at the place that I need to upload some VHS tapes to the computer and edit them in Video Explosion. Here are my questions... It seems that Hollywood DV Bridge, Canopus ADVC-100 and Studio Version 8 by Pinacle are all solutions to my problem. Well, here is my question. Can I use these solutions, yet use my software to edit the video. It seem when I read the literature on these programs, not only are they hardware components, but they are also video editing programs which is not what I want. Also, out of these programs, which do you recommend to the novice and amateur. This is not my full time work and will only do this occasionally. Thanks for any support you might can give... Michael
would something like this work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5208965882&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1
If you're used to using firewire, get the Canopus. It outputs a simple digital DV-AVI, and you should still be able to use your Nova VED.
Does anyone know if the Dazzle Hollywood product can be used with the NOVA VED? Will the drivers support it? Or will I have to use Dazzle's editing software?
