I copied a VHS tape, family videos, on a Magnavox unit that I purchased for this purpose. The unit copies VHS to DVD or the opposite. The copy was successful, however the DVD disk will not play on my computer. It plays fine on any stand alone player I tried. When I put it in my computer it shows the disk as blank, no files at all. I have tried about 7 different types of software to open this disk. CopyDVD, converter software, 3 types. DVD Shrink, and every type of player I could find. If I can't copy the disk I will have to use the Magnavox recorder for every copy, 4.5 hours each time! What type of files are the ones that the Magnavox put on this disk?

You put 4.5 hours on the disk?

I assume the disk is finalized (else it wouldn't play on the other standalone units).
    Are you using rewritable disks?
Can you try IsoBuster to see if it can find anything on the disk.

Try recording a short section and see if the PC can see that.
