I have Adobe Creative suite 3. I haven't loaded Premiere yet. I haven't needed until now. I have about 20 VHS tapes(non-copy right) that I want to be able capture the video to my laptops HD then edit out what I don't want. So 1) Can Premiere do this and? 2) What do I need to get the VHS video to my laptops HD?
You need something from this list: http://www.videohelp.com/capturecards Or this list: http://www.videohelp.com/dvdrecorders. The DVD recorder is easier and now a days probably cheaper. Use R/W disks if you want to edit the content, so you can reuse the disk for capturing.
