i have a HP dc3000. It works well enough but I want to copy vhs to DVD - of course these little suckers are encrypted. Help me.

I am a simple man and I sing a simple song. Please use the Queen's English because I know nothing about computer talk.

    Good onya

The encryption on VHS movies is usually Macrovision. A box to remove this will cost around $40. It needs to be in the video out line from the VCR to your capture device or video card. One called BIG RED can be found here.

You can also just do a search for macrovision removers. You should get several hits. Good luck.
That site shows it being used for DVD to VHS but will work the other way also.
