If anyone can solve this I will be grateful beyond words.

I want to transfer VHS to my PC.

I connect the VHS to my camcorder using RTG cable. My camcorder does not support “pass through” so I record onto the camcorder DV tape and then capture this DV tape to my PC.

This method works and I am able to transfer all my VHS to PC fine.

Except for one VHS tape which makes the camcorder screen go blue. The sound is fine but no picture. Whenever I hit play on the VHS the picture appears for a split second on the camcorder, is very jumpy, and then it goes blue screen.

I think this troublesome VHS tape is in NTSC format. All my other tapes were in PAL.

My VHS player plays both NTSC and PAL tapes fine and I can play this tape ok on the TV but not on the camcorder.

Is there any way to use the pass through method with this tape?

    Many thanks

Well if your Camcorder is a Pal Camcorder and it is Recieveing a NTSC Video Signal then you will get this effect and I do not Know of any Way to Overcome this Problem without Buying different Hardware...

You could Just Get a Cheapo $20 Analogue Capture Card which will capture Both NTSC and Pal Video to your PC....You can Find Them On E_Bay all the Time For Extremely Low Prices but they aren"t High Quality Capture devices....

    Good luck
