I have a homemade dvd that plays okay on my dvd player but not on the player of a friend I made it for- he says it says there's an error on it. If I copy the dvd files, the error will go with it, so I figured the thing to do was to play it on my dvd player, and capture it on my computer to just make a new clean one. But when I capture, the sound is out of sync with the video even though the original isn't. I tried capturing in Mpeg2, mpeg4, and dvd formats (because I'm clueless which one is the right one) but the same thing happens in all of them. I'm using a plextor usb capture device. Any idea why it's happening or how to prevent it? The plextor is actually an analog capture device, could that be a problem, since the dvd is digital?

Please check the settings in the tool you are using.

Can you find an item called Frame Rate? This would be the problem.

Maybe the values for it, like 23.97 or 29.97 will do the trick.
