I hope this isn't a repeat post. I've found similar but not exactly what I'm seeing. I had an avi with a few bad frames. I own a Neuros OSD and when the movie got to the bad frame set, the movie would just stop. I had the idea of going in to the avi and removing the bad frames. When I did that, and encoded back out to a new file, the audio is out of sync with the video. I've seen posts where they say to only encode the video but I don't know how to do that with TMPGenc 4.0 Xpress. The input file is an avi, 612x250, 30 fps, 48000 Hz, 2 ch. I'm outputting XVID, 612x250, 30 fps, uncompressed PCM, 48000 Hz, 16 bit, 2ch. The sync on the audio is terrible. It's about 4 to 6 seconds out of sync. Could removing about 6 or so frames of the video caused this problem? How do I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Try converting your original avi with the bad frames to two avis that work and have the audio synched. Convert audio to CBR if it's necessary. Then join the two avi's and convert to mpg.
