I am trying to copy VHS-C to my hard drive. I am using Pinnacle Studio 500-USB but am getting a lot of dropped frames. My computer has 512 MB Ram and 2.2ghz. The odd thing is if I run by t.v. into the unit I don't get the dropped frames. Any help would be most appreciated.

Well the Dropped Frames could be because the actual Source tape as Bad Frames in it or there is a Bad Signal....

What Format are you captureing To?? Are you useing Software Compression or does your Capture device use Hardware Compression??

If you are Captureing to AVI format then You should allways Capture to a Drive other than the Drive your OS Is Installed on to or you will get Dropped Frame because your Main Drive is usually not fast enough to Write AVI data to.....

    Good luck
