Hello, I need some help adjusting settings to capture video from my camcorder. I am captureing from a composite camcorder. The tapes are video 8. The video capture card I have will capture up to 720x480. The software I am using is Video Studio 6.0. I want to burn the video to DVD disks. I guess my main problem is a massive amount of dropped frames. If someone can please tell me some good settings to try that would be great! I am a total newbie at this and find it difficult to adjust all the settings. Thank you in advance! Mike
So your main problem is dropped frames, with using Video Studio 6 ? Ok, are you capturing and saving to HD, then playing back with an MPEG viewer or something ? Is this where you notice the frame loss, or while playing back within Video Studio ? I too have Video Studio and found it to be badly written, also WinProducer (editing captured files) ... often get errors and memory leaks.
Hey, yes I am captureing to my hard drive and I dont even need to view the movie to realize frames are being dropped, because Video Studio tells you how many as its going. I need to learn what the optimal setting are for taking video from a VHS and putting it onto a DVD using Video Studio 6. Thank you for replying!
