video capturing

    When I try to capture my home movie with my JVC GR-D73U through a firewire I only get the audio part but not the movie files regardless the software I use (pinnacle, movie maker, movie edit etc..?
    I could capture with another computer. Is it something wrong with my computer. I use window XP professional.

    You have to use the camcorder AC adapter when capturing, or you aren't going to get the video.
