Video card help

    I just bought a comp not that long ago and was looking to upgrade my video card I have ddr memory and was wondering do I need to get anything else besides the video card I want and the software that comes with it? Like what do I need to check and I checked to see if its ddr and thats all

    you'll want to check if the power supply that came with your pc can handle the power requirements of the video card you want to buy. You also need to check what kind of interface it has (agp vs. pcie)... if it was bought recently it should have a pcie interface, but you said you have DDR ram and not DDR2 so if the motherboard is old then it may still have AGP.

    Can't really think of anything else...
